Educational Philosophy of LDLA

Christ-Centered

First and foremost, Latter-day Lights Academy is centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ. We align ourselves with the doctrines and principles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. *We do not represent the church in any official capacity, though we are active, covenant-keeping members of the faith. You can learn more about our church at the following link:

The Well-Educated Heart

We embrace the principles of The Well-Educated Heart (WEH) and seek to warm, enlighten, nurture, and strengthen our children’s hearts, minds, spirits, and bodies through poetry, art, story, music, nature, devotionals, and engaging learning experiences. From www.librariesofhope.com: “We are gathering a community of families who are learning the lost art of educating hearts through the Arts. We seek to preserve a culture of faith, freedom, and family and a love of the good, the true, and the beautiful.” Mothers joining this co-op must complete the Catch The Vision Course on the WEH website (link below):

The Well-Educated Heart

The mothers of this co-op are encouraged to feed their own souls through participation in a Mothers of Influence group (MOI). These shared experiences will provide a base for the mothers and children to strengthen one another, and build meaningful, uplifting, and enduring relationships. LDLA has an active MOI group.
