The Vision and Motto of Latter-day Lights Academy

The Vision and Motto of Latter-day Lights Academy Our Vision   Families in Latter-day Lights Academy are united by their desires to fill their children with a love of the good, true, and beautiful in a heart-warming and Christ-centered atmosphere. We are focused on building Warriors for Christ, who love Him, who put on the whole armor of God, and hold up His light. The restored gospel of Jesus Christ is the foundation of all learning. We embrace the principles of The Well-Educated Heart and seek to warm, enlighten, nurture, and strengthen our children’s hearts, minds, spirits, and bodies through poetry, art, story, music, nature, devotionals, and engaging learning experiences. We also strive to inspire a love for America and The Constitution of The United States.  The mothers of this co-op are encouraged to feed their own souls through participation in a Mothers of Influence group. These shared experiences will provide a base for the mothers and children to strengthen on...

Age Groups and Classes at LDLA

Age Groups and Classes at LDLA We have six age groups at LDLA and 7 classes, as follows: Embers 1-3 years old These are our precious, littlest lights. We nurture their hearts by helping them feel God’s love for them, and by extension they will feel loved and safe in our co-op. Through play and repetition, we introduce the children to uplifting music, poetry, stories, and art so that they are familiar with them by the end of the year. Tinders 4-5 years old Our purpose is to protect and nurture the tender hearts of these little ones by filling their days with beautiful poetry, art, music, and a variety of stories including fairytales, fables and scripture stories. Free play, movement, and crafts will inspire their imaginations and creativity, giving them confidence in their own abilities. Their soft hearts will provide the perfect tinder to catch the sparks that will ignite their love of learning in future years. Creating a book of their favorite artwork, poetry and other meaningful gems...
